A study was performed in a partnership with the Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility (OLCF) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) where Hero was run with very large models on the Titan HPC.  Data from these runs were processed and used to determine the minimum, maximum, and optimal number of cores to run a job of a given size.

This data is applicable to any HPC that has 1 GByte of memory available for each CPU, which includes the Titan HPC and Orbital ATK's Condor HPC.  Orbital ATK's Raptor HPC has 5.33 GByte of memory per CPU, so the model size numbers on the chart should scale to the right by that same factor, though that has not been verified through an independent study.
