Chemical files contain definitions of ingredients and mixtures that Chemics uses to simplify defining Systems.  The purpose of the site file is to contain a standard set of ingredients and mixtures that are to be used throughout a company.  This file is typically located on a common network location where all Chemics users can reference it.  You can see the chemical files the Chemics is references on the Options dialog -- as shown in the following figure.

Defining Site Chemical File

Set an environment variable CHMX_CHEMISTRY_FILE to be the full path of the site chemistry file by following these steps:

  2. Select Advanced system settings
  3. On the Advanced property page, press the Environment Variables button.
  4. Press the New button in the System Variables (lower) section of the Environment Variables dialog.
